(pen)Name: Gray Marie Cox

Nicknames: This is hard. One of my sisters calls me Gray-Gray sometimes, my other sister is weird and calls me food names like pancake and cupcake. My dad sometimes calls me bugaboo to annoy me. One of my friends calls me brat. Another friend calls me psychopath (he knows me too well and might have seen my search history, it was for writing, I swear!) And I’ve been called shortcake a few times as well as freckles.

Birthday: December 30^th

Hair color and length: Light brown, and a little bit past my shoulders when it’s dry and curly.

Eye color: Brown.

Braces/piercings/tattoos: Yes to braces (ugh), and I have three piercings because one of my earrings tore my ear lobe and now I just wear three earrings.

Righty or lefty: Righty.

Ethnicity: Caucasian.

First novel written: I have no idea. I’ve written a lot of stories in the past, and I remember working on a few forever, so who knows? Maybe I’ve written one, maybe I’ve only written novellas.

Award for writing: I got an honorable mention in an IEW writing contest for the state of Texas once (in 2015).You can read it here.

Query/Pitch: None yet!

Novel (that you wrote): I hate most of my past works, like one week after I write something I’ll want to burn it, so it’s obviously my current WIP.

Genre: General fiction!

Author: I would say Terri Blackstock, but I like a lot of other authors for different reasons.

Writing Music: I change music so often! Sometimes I listen to Lindsey Stirling and other times I listen to movie soundtracks.

Time To Write: Typically when I have a spare moment. Even when I’m not writing something, I’m writing it in my head.

Writing Snack/Drink: Coffee, although I do drink Cherry Coke sometimes on Saturdays while writing.

Movie: We could be here forever if I tried to answer this.

Writing Memory: The moment I knew I wanted to be a writer was when I was eleven and my co-op writing class made everyone read each other’s stories, and the story I wrote at the time was supposed to be funny, and I guess it worked. And it felt so good to watch people being entertained by my work that I wanted to do it forever.
