May is Ending... I am SHOOKETH + Blogger is giving me grief

Image
Wait a minute, May can't already be over, right??? *glances at calendar* Oh.... HOW .  I didn't even do that much this month, I need more time!!!!!! **All pictures in this post are my own** -SO, I haven't been getting email notifications about comments on this blog... at all. I thought I must have accidentally turned off something in the settings, but everything was in check. Then I went to the blogger help forum and apparently this is happening to other bloggers on here as well and no one really knows how to fix it??? ANYWAYS, it's been such a pain, I hope it's just a bug that will be ironed out soon. That being said, I am sorry if I'm later to replying to some of y'all's comments! Overall, this month has been pretty great, I've been feeling much better and things are starting to slow down and simultaneously speed up, in a way that only makes sense in summer.  A few things that happened: -My homeschool choir group ended, and I haven't really mis...

The Problem With Grey Morality

Image
I'm starting a series on this blog, it's called The Problem with ____.           In these posts I'll obviously be talking (writing) about the problem with a stereotype, character arc, or story line in young adult, so that should be fun. I've already written a post in this series without even realizing it, and it is called The Problem with Bad Boys if you haven't read it yet.                    Grey morality is when something is neither fully good or bad, or something that is debatable on whether it's good or bad.                     Now, I am a conservative homeschooled Christian, so one would think I wouldn't like grey morality at all, but I actually sort of do.                      I like to be conflicted, I like it when characters are complex. I'm Back! // My Favorite Book Covers

Image
SUP PEEPS, I AM BACK.         First off, I feel SO much better, taking a break was a good idea because it took a bit of the stress of trying to post every week and I was able to pull myself and my life together. I finally feel happy and calm again which is so wonderful, and I'd like to thank all of y'all for being so understanding. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️        Despite enjoying my break, I am super happy to be back and to start keeping up with y'all's lovely blogs again! I love blogging so much, so I am ecstatic about getting back into the swing of things.        I've decided to do a light fluffy post to start my content off again:      This cover is so pretty!!!!!! Probably the biggest reason I bought this book for my own in the first place, because as I have said before , I am a petty bookdragon. XD        Read my full review here .                     ...

Book Review: First Impressions by Debra White Smith

Image
Hello, so I’m not totally back from my break, but as I said in my last post there was the possibility of me reviewing a book on here this month, and I did get a free book in exchange for a review this month, so here I am!                   First off, a big thanks to Bethany House  and the Baker Publishing Group for giving me this opportunity! Although, this book was free in exchange for my thoughts, my opinions are entirely unbiased.            I was super excited when I got the email that I was one of the bloggers accepted to receive a copy of this book, I love Jane Austen, I love Pride and Prejudice, and I adore contemporary, so the three together sounded AMAZING. I mean, a contemporary re-telling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice? I AM ON BOARD.         ...
