May is Ending... I am SHOOKETH + Blogger is giving me grief


Wait a minute, May can't already be over, right???

*glances at calendar*

Oh.... HOW. 

I didn't even do that much this month, I need more time!!!!!!

-SO, I haven't been getting email notifications about comments on this blog... at all. I thought I must have accidentally turned off something in the settings, but everything was in check.

Then I went to the blogger help forum and apparently this is happening to other bloggers on here as well and no one really knows how to fix it??? ANYWAYS, it's been such a pain, I hope it's just a bug that will be ironed out soon.

That being said, I am sorry if I'm later to replying to some of y'all's comments!



Overall, this month has been pretty great, I've been feeling much better and things are starting to slow down and simultaneously speed up, in a way that only makes sense in summer. 

A few things that happened:

-My homeschool choir group ended, and I haven't really missed it... I like it and will probably go back again next school year, but it's been nice staying home on Fridays for the most part. 

-Two of my siblings had birthdays this month! So there's officially another teenager in the house besides me, which is CRAZY to think about.

-My family and I met up with some old family friends that knew us when I was around three and then we stayed over night at their house when I was around nine. It's a little weird meeting people who remember you, but you barely remember them. But they were nice, so it was cool.


-The weather here has been finicky lately, either it's super hot and sunny or it's pouring rain and everything is darkness. 

I was at the library the other week and it randomly started storming and the power went out for a few seconds. The whole library was pitch black, and then the power started again. Unfortunately, I happened to be working on my driver's ed in the computer lab when that happened, so I lost some progress. :/ 



-My family's small garden is doing well, the tomatoes are taking over though.







 I honestly wish I was a bigger fan of peppers or tomatoes, but I'm not, lol.




-So I went swimming the other day and I came home with a sunburn starting to appear (of course) and my freckles multiplied... which is fantastic. *sarcasm* 

 ^^Me coming home and realizing that swimming for so long was probably a mistake.



 My cats lounging about like cats do.

 ^^I SWEAR WE DIDN'T RUN OVER HIM, HE JUST LIKES TO SLEEP UNDER CARS LIKE THIS.

 ^^^Our dog, Tawnie, is doing well.


-I FINALLY watched Black Panther this month! It was in my friend's backyard with a bunch of other teens from my co-op, we had a sheet and a projector. Needless to say, it was a very different experience, but pretty fun.

We Need Ratings for Books

Guys, I wish books had ratings like movies did. Now, I can see someone commenting down below something along the lines of, " But Graayyyyy , they do have ratings!! You have jfict books written for twelve and below, YA written for teens, and NA written for a more college-aged audience, and then just Adult fiction written for, well, either advanced readers or older readerssssssssssss!!!!" But the thing is, one can go to blockbuster (okay, maybe not anymore, but I have to bring back that nostalgia *sighs* the good old days that weren't actually that good but I remember them in a golden filter for some reason), ANYWAYS , people could go to a certain section of the genre of the type of movie they wanted to see, but every movie in that genre also has a  s e p a r a t e   rating. For example, if I go to the horror section and pick up Signs , I can turn it to the back and see that it is rated PG-13 for some more intense moments. Then if I pick up let's say Along Came a...

Just popping in to say....

Happy fourth of July!! If you're an American I hope you have a great day of celebrating the freedom of this amazing country, and if you're not American I still hope you have a great day! I thought I had to stay home today because of burns on my arms and legs and it's too hot to wear pants outside right now, but luckily I got fewer burns than I thought on my legs so I can pass with band-aids. I've been reading about the American Government for school, and America is such a complex country, I firmly believe America is one of the best countries ever, sure we have our fair share of #issues, but I hope we can come together soon and become a strong and diverse nation. So happy fourth, y'all!  And here's a video from Studio C that never fails to make me laugh:
