The Shared WIP Tag // week two: protagonist questions


Let's just jump right in!


1. Introduce your MC.

Piper Anson, seventeen. 

Josh, nineteen.

Alex Anson, fifteen.

2. What does your MC value the most?

Piper- Her art.

Alex-His music.

Josh-His freedom.

3. What is your MC’s wildest dream?  What is their greatest fear?

Piper-To become a famous artist like Monet or Cassatt. Greatest fear-Never being good enough.

Alex-To be a songwriter. Greatest fear-Realizing his work isn't good at all.

Josh-To win the lottery. Greatest fear-His past catching up with him.

4. What is your MC’s favorite food?  Can they cook?

This is a big nope for all of them except for Alex, who paid more attention than Piper while their mom baked cookies when they were younger. 


I've never really thought about the food one... 


5. What do you (the writer) have in common with the MC?  What do you not have in common?

I share a lot of the same fears as my characters, but I don't react to problems like they do. 

6. What lie does your mc believe about himself/the world?

Piper-That the world is simple.

Alex-That he'll never succeed.

Josh-That the world is heartless. 


7. Who is their best friend and why?

For Piper it's Kavya Patel, and that's because they're both so alike, except Kavya is passionate about the theater. 

Both Alex and Josh are more loner types.


8. What song best describes them in this book?

9. What is their personality type?

Josh is an INTJ 

Piper is an ESFJ

Alex is an INFP

We Need Ratings for Books

Guys, I wish books had ratings like movies did. Now, I can see someone commenting down below something along the lines of, " But Graayyyyy , they do have ratings!! You have jfict books written for twelve and below, YA written for teens, and NA written for a more college-aged audience, and then just Adult fiction written for, well, either advanced readers or older readerssssssssssss!!!!" But the thing is, one can go to blockbuster (okay, maybe not anymore, but I have to bring back that nostalgia *sighs* the good old days that weren't actually that good but I remember them in a golden filter for some reason), ANYWAYS , people could go to a certain section of the genre of the type of movie they wanted to see, but every movie in that genre also has a  s e p a r a t e   rating. Just popping in to say....

Happy fourth of July!! If you're an American I hope you have a great day of celebrating the freedom of this amazing country, and if you're not American I still hope you have a great day! I thought I had to stay home today because of burns on my arms and legs and it's too hot to wear pants outside right now, but luckily I got fewer burns than I thought on my legs so I can pass with band-aids. I've been reading about the American Government for school, and America is such a complex country, I firmly believe America is one of the best countries ever, sure we have our fair share of #issues, but I hope we can come together soon and become a strong and diverse nation. So happy fourth, y'all!  And here's a video from Studio C that never fails to make me laugh:
